It is not enough to be free. We must know our freedom

It is not enough to be free. We must know our freedom

It is a practice, letting go. We do so for no reason other than to free ourselves from the path of suffering. To hold on, to fester, to create and recreate the dance with anger, is to shorten the lifespan, slowly taking moments away like the seeping air from a tire before it is depleted of all that made it useful, that made it effective in its ability to move forward. To hold on is to live inside the pain of stagnation and hurt, to suffer beyond the expiration date. Yet it is a choice. It is a choice not to forgive in the same way that it is a choice to forgive; one creates openings while the other closes doors. There is no freedom inside closed doors. There is only the trappings of the mind replaying episodes of how the path walked created in you a victim. This is the dark side of holding on. You lose yourself in the illusion of feeling justified all the while suffering, gasping for your own breath when it is but a choice to forgive. What happens when you turn toward its freedom? What release overtakes you, cleansing you in an instant? This is the path. Walk. This is the way of entering the |K|ingdom. You need only release the stronghold and allow the vibration of forgiveness to touch you. Step. Choose. Let not the ego keep you there in the cycle of suffering. Let not the ego sell you lies that cause you pain. Let not the ego trap you there in its pull of negativity disguised as truth. Turn within. Let the light within illuminate. Trust the still small voice, the voice that does not raise, yet remains there steady like a breeze. Be one with the practice of forgiveness that you, too, might be free.
